There was eventually a date
"You're watching dinosaur documentaries? And here I though you couldn't get any cooler."
Actual message Ariel sent Anya while they were chatting over Hinge on a Friday night in June 2023.
They agreed that they should meet sometime soon, and decided to set a date for sometime in the next week.
According to fate, that was not soon enough.
"Wasn't I talking just talking to you?"
Anya's first words to Ariel the next morning. She had just arrived at Summit Brewing for a tour with her trivia team, and saw an unexpectedly familiar face!
It turns out there had been a few spare tickets for the tour, it turned out her teammate Tasha had decided to invite her law school roommate... Ariel.
It was only a little awkward.

"You're just using me for my cats, aren't you?"
The verdict is still out on this. After a thorough vetting, Laszlo decided to officially make Ariel his person. Anya figured there was no fighting that, so they started looking for a house and moved in together in September 2024.
Laszlo is very pleased with the new arrangement, as now he doesn't have to fight Morris for a single lap.
"I found a cheap flight."
For the next couple of years Anya and Ariel decided to enjoy themselves as much as possible before their knees realized they were over 40 years old.
Planned and spontaneous trips included Mexico, Colorado, Puerto Rico, Chicago, Portugal, and (soon) New York City.

"That's a very romantic and specific thing to repeatedly suggest..."
After performing in a Morris Park Singers concert in May, Ariel was quite eager have a cocktail in the garden under the cafe lights.
This was suspicious.
"This is nice. Want to keep doing it for the rest of our lives?"
Ariel made a good argument. And a good cocktail. Turns out, they both wanted to keep doing this for the rest of her life.
So two people who are weird in all the most complementary ways decided to make it official in June 2027.
